This morning I read a post on my facebook page from a delightful collector of mine, Mikka.
She said that she so fell in Love with Miss Humpty Dumpty that she was religiously checking everyday my site and facebook page to see if there was any news or new photos of her.
That touched me so, that I unpacked Miss Humpty Dumpty who was already about flying to Asia, to make a bunch of new photos to fulfill the desire of Mikka and of all of my collectors.
because of this post and my answer mentioning new photos just taken to please Mikka; I received 4 messages asking ” why I am so grateful to my collectors and public?”
This question is asked to me about once a week at least… I could again give as an answer my statement about art, as I did in a previous post. But everybody knows that statement of mine.
Then, I found the answer IN the question. There it is :
“I am that Grateful to my collectors and public because they are so GREATFUL to me!”
As simple as that.
I wanted to announce this later, but to show and express my gratitude to my collectors, I decided to make to every one of them a surprise. I am not rich and not a big company so I cannot add to every parcel a little gift as a wig or clothes or shoes though I’d love to. So I thought of something else…
The only thing I have are my hands and what comes out of them.
Therefore, if Miss Humpty Dumpty is packed but not shipped yet, it’s because she will not travel alone.
I decided to sculpt a tiny critter ( less that 2 inches, about 4cm) to ask my manufacturer to cast it in resin ( I already have his confirmation that it is totally possible) and to OFFER with every of my dolls sold a ready to custom resin little tiny pet/critter.
This tiny pet will NOT be available for sale. It will EXCLUSIVELY be offered to my collectors and added in the parcel of their dolls. Of course, for those who order more than a doll, I will add more than one critter ^^
I therefore plan to sculpt different tiny mini Pets for my dolls and it will be a kind of parallel collection for my collectors ^^
This is my way to thank you all. For the support, the constant encouragement, the loyalty, the kindness, the incredible promotion of my work some of you make on their own site/forums/facebook page/ etc, the enthusiasm, and the marvelous homes where you welcome my little resin girls.^^ I hope you will enjoy this little present.
Already 49 Miss Humpty Dumpty are reserved so far, and I intend to NOT make a second preorder for her, as she is original and unusual, I think that being limited fits to her nature. So, it will be now or never. Also I want soon to focus on the new faceplates for this body.
I do not know yet if she will be available in different colors or not. I have a minimum order to fulfill for EACH color so it will depend on the choice of my collectors… Therefore, I want to make a poll tonight :

Now, the photos! With light pink eyes, a new green blueish wig and a hand knitted little hat made by my mother. I confirm that her eyes size is 12mm, and her wig size is 7/8.

I love the idea of different colors like green, etc but I think since I am getting them as Alice’s Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee that Cream is the best choice for me.
